Luciano Bertesi, who founded Centauro in 1965, certainly had a dream, but in those days, fathers' dreams were rarely passed on to their children. And yet Luciano, with his wealth of experience at Centauro alongside his wife Elena Benetti and his founding father-in-law Stefano Benetti, who was beginning his solo journey at the helm of Stromab, in fact inspired many of us. After some twenty years shared with financial partners Elio and Giovanni Tamagnini, Stromab once again became fully family-owned and, in the mid-1980s, it was our sons who supported Luciano. First Rocco, then Alessandro and, a few years later, Sebastian and Francesco. Our father's passion, which we have all inherited, has enabled us to rise to what seemed like enormous challenges. Confidence in a prosperous future, the vision of a common goal and passion for our roles won out over fears and perplexities. Our entrepreneurial growth was supported and fuelled by important partnerships such as SCM (Sandya) and our sales network. Finally, our beginnings as a company have enabled us to broaden our horizons by moving from traditional machines for small craftsmen to automatic machines. Although it's been a long and winding road, we've managed to keep our mark on the market with machines such as radial saws, chain saws and band saws. machines such as radial saws, designed and manufactured in the early years and still part of our product range today. After 60 years, we find ourselves designing and selling Industrie 4.0 automatic cutting lines that have nothing in common with the machines of our beginnings, but which carry the passion of founder Luciano Bertesi, who still inspires us today.
